Family University is LESD's parent engagement program created to empower parents to get involved in their child's education and at their schools. FamilyU (as we refer to this program in our district) recognizes parents for their volunteering efforts and attending workshops—not just at our school, but at any school in the district!
All families are welcome at all of our schools—this isn't simply a catchphrase, it's a goal we strive to make into a reality. Through FamilyU we aim to create a genuine connection with LESD families by building capacity in our parents to share their voice and become advocates for their child's education.
